James Blunt – He’s one of those truly talented artists whose songs I really love. He sang the song You’re Beautiful…. I just love this song! It’s such a memorable one to me! My D dedicated this to me, and he used to sing it to me online during the time he was 7000 miles away from me. And it’s sooo like heaven to listen to the man you love singing such a beautiful song to you!
Anyway, sometime last month, my D and I were at Cubao buying a new RAM for his laptop. It so happened that we saw a poster of James Blunt, announcing that he would be coming to Manila to perform in a live concert on May 19, 2008. WOW!!! James Blunt LIVE in Manila!!! Without a second thought, we headed straight to the concert ticketing booth to buy a couple of tickets for the said event!

The concert was held at the Araneta Coliseum. It was sooo great! James Blunt was full of life, full of energy! We enjoyed every song he sang. He rendered a variety of songs from his Back to Bedlam album and his current album, All the Lost Souls. I was so mesmerized, so captivated by his voice as he sang YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL! My D held my hand so lovingly while we listened to this beautiful song. It was soooo romantic! Before he sang that song, he mentioned that You’re Beautiful was frequently requested for weddings, and that his other song, Goodbye My Lover, is frequently played in funerals in England. I thought he was joking, but when I checked it out, it was true! He also sang one song for people he said, "who were going through divorce"… it’s called "I’ll take everything"…
haha!
I was hoping he would sing another one of my favorites, Tears and Rain, but unfortunately he didn’t sing it..
*sigh* The audience on the Patron area (in front of the stage) were so elated when he got off the stage and quickly walked around the Patron section to shake hands, hug and kiss some of them! Everyone was screaming at the top of their voices!
The concert ended with his last song, 1973, the song that was constantly requested by the audience during the concert. It was a great evening… I do hope he would come back someday.

watch the video here

it was a lovely evening,,,, hope you enjoyed the music..

I love anniversaries. They bring back those days you always want to remember, to look back to and to recall how things were back then and how things are today.
When we were just falling in love, I was a bit scared. We were 7000 miles away from each other and during that time, being in love seemed all too good to be true. Everyone around me thought that way. He’s American and I’m Filipina. It was like an impossible dream. But his decision to come to the Philippines to spend the rest of his life with me made a big difference. Some woman, let me not mention her name, advised me to “tell him to just take a vacation!” VACATION!?! Was she joking or what? He was so appalled by the mere thought of those words. I told him not to think about it at all. This person was the unfortunate one. Men took her for short vacations and left. She’s that kind of girl.

We just celebrated our 2nd anniversary!
He’s been buying new stuff for our home during the last few weeks – a new 21-in. tv, a DVD player and a couch, where we could all relax and enjoy the fruits of his labor. On the other hand, my fridge had not been working out well during the past few weeks and I couldn’t store meat and fish as it could not freeze them anymore. The guy who checked it out informed me that the freon kept leaking, and it was already irreparable. The only way to keep it cold was to constantly reload it with freon. It was time to buy a new fridge. However, since school days are soon to begin, we have been loaded with enrolment, books and school supply expenses left and right, I was pretty sure it was impossible for us to spend again for an additional appliance at home.
On our anniversary he surprised me with his decision to buy me a new 7-cu.ft fridge as an anniversary gift. I was sooo overwhelmed! He asked me to get dressed, hollered all the kids and we all went to have a Mother’s day family pizza together at Shakey’s. After that we spent almost all afternoon hopping from one appliance center to another, choosing the right fridge, until we landed on the perfect one for me. He had it immediately delivered to our home. We both had to move everything around the house that same day to make enough space for the new fridge. I was soooo happy and sooo proud!

After that exhausting appliance-center-hopping and home-rearranging afternoon, he took me out for a dinner date. It was our first time to visit the Trinoma Mall, where we shared a romantic dinner at a restaurant called Heaven n Eggs. Oooh I feel so loved! This man gives me heaven! It was a such a wonderful and unforgettable day for me!
I feel so blessed. I am so grateful. In my life, I have nothing more to ask for, and I thank the Lord for everything!

The evil that men do. This story is unbelievable…
Meet Josef Fritzi: this 73 year old man confessed that he imprisoned his own daughter in an underground chamber for 24 years and fathered her seven children.
Elisabeth, the unfortunate daughter, now 42 years old, was lured by her own father into a dungeon at the three-storey house in Amstetten, 80 miles west of Vienna, where he repeatedly raped her for 24 years, without the apparent knowledge of his wife, Rosemarie! Detectives were informed by Rosemarie that she was never aware of the imprisonment and the sexual abuse that took place for years in the basement.
This crooked old, incestuous rapist held captive Elisabeth and her first three children (by him) in a series of windowless rooms, while the last three children, he raised in his home with his wife. Fritzi made everyone believe that that his "missing" daughter had mysteriously returned on three occasions to dump three children on his doorstep, and that she had left to join a cult. Read about this news at Daily Mail.
Honestly, I don’t really believe the wife never had any knowledge of what was happening. This is way too impossible to believe! What kind of a mother would not care to find out where her own daughter was for 24 years of her life, and what kind of a wife would not know what on earth was going on inside her own home! As for this man, he is ruthless, he is heartless and in my opinion, he deserves to be locked in a dungeon for the rest of his life!
