Have you ever had dogs of different breeds and different ages all together at one time?
A few weeks ago, we got our new puppy, Daffy, a black(female) Labrador Retriever. As some of you may already know, we’ve had Casper, our white(male) mixed-breed Japanese Spitz-Daschund dog for more than two years now. Casper has always been used to being the only dog around the house. He has become spoiled and grumpy, with a bit of a bad temper especially when he’s eating or taking a nap. Sometimes we think that we’ve spoiled Casper too much that he almost believes that he’s “one of the kids”!
So having the new puppy around is something quite unusual to Casper. He doesn’t like her at all. Daffy is young and playful, she tends to pester him a lot all day long. Meantime, Casper, the grumpy dog that he is, has very little patience for her. He doesn’t enjoy her playfulness He’s much, much bigger than she is right now and we’re afraid he could just bite her off anytime.
Fearing he might hurt her one day, we decided to put a muzzle on Casper temporarily while Daffy is still too little – to avoid the possibility of him eventually losing his patience on her. However, the Daffy takes this for granted and pesters him even more! We, on the other hand, have to keep an eye on the two all the time just to make sure nothing wrong happens to the puppy.
Watch this video of how Daffy pesters Casper all day long…

Do you think they will ever get along one day?
